As the digital realm continues to have a growing impact on our daily lives, it has become more important than ever to intentionally dedicate a space and time in which we have separation from our electronic devices. This, however, can be easier said then done.

Design Solutions
I wanted to highlight the advantages that an analog solution has over a digital one. This was achieved by exploring different textures that could be used throughout the book. The result of the was a soft fabric for the cover and a lightly textured paper for the interior pages.
The gradient from light blue to dark blue is evident throughout the book. It is the analogy that tells the purpose of this journal which is the importance of mentally and physically winding down before going to sleep.
Pacing of the journal played vital role in helping the reader slow down. This is made evident through the first twelve pages being a gradual shift from light blue to black. These pages establish the pace and acts as a "buy-in" moment for the reader by letting them know the purpose of the book.
